DTI's Chief
Instructor, Edgardo Perez, has more than 28 years of training in Hapkido
in both the United States and South Korea, a Full Instructor in Filipino
Largo Mano Eskrima as well as being the founder and Chief Instructor of
The World Guazábara Federation . Perez is a
law enforcement veteran of more then twenty years who
has also been teaching Police Defensive Tactics to local, state and
military personal during that time. He is a member of
Illinois Tactical
Officers Association and a
charter member of
The
International Law Enforcement Educators & Trainers Association (ILEETA). He remains on active duty

Instructor Ronal Grist, Jr., CGI-3
3rd
Dan Hapkido
Mr. Grist joined the DTI team with
over 15 years of training in the martial arts. He currently holds Black
Belt ranking in Hapkido, Tang Soo Do and the Okinawan Weapons system of
Kobudo. Mr. Grist was promoted to 3rd Dan on December 9, 2007.
Instructor Jim Gellner, CGI-3
2nd Dan Hapkido
Mr. Gellner has been a member of
DTI for 5 years training in Jun Sa Hapkido with over 10 years of experience in
the martial arts. He is currently holding the rank of Hapkido (Shodan), Apprentice in Guazabara, World Guazabara
Federation Lifetime Council Member
& Armas de Mano Instructor.
Mr. Gellner was promoted to 2nd Dan December 9, 2007.
Instructor Sal Videgaray,CGI-3
1st Dan Hapkido
Mr. Videgaray is a
medical student and a student of Chinese medicine with a background in the martial art of Lima Lama.
He has been a member of DTI for eight years training in Warrior Hapkido (Shodan).
He continues to train in MMA and Grappling. He is a
Member of The World Guazabara Federation and holds the rank
of Apprentice-Level 3.

William Guralnick, CGI-3
1st Dan Hapkido
Mr. Guralnick has been a member of DTI for 9 years training
in Warrior Hapkido, holding the rank of
Shodan. He is a Lifetime Member of The World Guazábara Federation and holds the rank of
Apprentice-Instructor.
